As a Louisville, KY native (and mama), I may be a little biased, but this city is a great place for the perfect adventure with your kiddos. It is well-known for its compelling outdoor architecture and rich southern culture. There are plenty of things to do with kids and family in the city for a thrilling experience. With a good plan and plenty of places in mind, you will be able to have an amazing time in Louisville Ky.

Visit the Louisville Zoo
Zoos are one of the best places to spend time with your family. Like in other cities, the zoo here is full of fascinating animals that your kids will love seeing. My personal favorite thing about the Louisville Zoo is that its big enough to keep the kids entertained, but also small enough to make it through fairly quickly.
The zoo takes care good care of the animals and ensures to follow various safety and cleaning protocols. Louisville zoo also has beautiful gardens and benches where the whole family can walk around or relax. The zoo also has special seasonal events like Boo at the Zoo, Wild Lights, and other attractions.
Visit the Slugger Museum
One of the best things to do in Louisville KY, with kids, is visiting the slugger museum. Louisville is home to the minor league baseball team the “River Bats” and if you want to know more about them, make sure to visit the museum.
Not only does the slugger museum contain plenty of history of the hometown club but of baseball from all across America. If your kids are avid sports fans, then this place should be on your bucket list. Moreover, you will also see the bat factory where they make the number 1 baseball bats in the world. You can even take home a little souvenir bat as a momento for your visit.
Visit Kentucky Science Center
When looking for things to do in Louisville KY, with kids, you should not forget about the Kentucky Science Center. The science center offers plenty of fun learning activities for visitors, especially children.

Some of the parks include, The Parklands at Beckley Creek, Broad Run Park, Cherokee Park, and Waterfront Park. My personal favorite is Beckley Creek Park which is part of the Parklands, it has a wonderful playground, splash pad, as well as many trails and areas to explore or have a picnic with your little ones.
