For us parents, it leaves a feeling of nostalgia for the times when we roamed our favorite toy store. Going to an actual toy store is almost a right of childhood passage that many seem to have forgotten since the closing of many toy stores. About Playthings Toy Shoppe
Louisville’s only family-owned specialty toy store has everything you need for gifts and fun. Original owner Doug Noe and his wife Vickie opened Playthings Toy Shoppe in September 2001. They loved providing kids and families with products that had everyone smiling and laughing. Sadly Doug Noe passed in December of 2010. Vickie Noe and their daughter Kristen Dolle wanted to keep his love for the store and providing quality play time alive. They took on running the store and even expanded to a second location. Vickie and Kristen continue to work as a team and handpick every item they carry in their stores to ensure quality inventory. They hear the voices of parents craving less screen time and longing to return kids to the basics of sturdy and quality toys, things that spark imagination and stimulate their love of learning. Playthings Toy Shoppe does its best to fulfill those wishes.
